PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TAKE AND GIVE BERBANTUAN MEDIA KARTU SOAL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI PERKALIAN BILANGAN CACAH

This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem-solving abilities of students, particularly in the topic of whole number multiplication. The main issues identified include students’ lack of skills in understanding problems, planning solutions, executing problem-solving strategies, and reviewing results. This study aims to determine the effect of the Take and Give cooperative learning model assisted by question cards on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of fifth-grade students at SDN Sukadana, Tanjungkerta District, Sumedang Regency, in the 2024/2025 academic year. The model was selected for its potential to increase active student participation through mutual sharing of information. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected using an essay test consisting of five questions based on Polya's problem-solving indicators: understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and reviewing the solution. The sample consisted of 18 students selected using total sampling. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, and the paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Take and Give model assisted by question card media is effective in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities.
