Publication Ethics
JTINS follows the COPE Core Practices and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
Duties of authors
- Submit original work not published or under review elsewhere.
- Report data honestly; fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism are not tolerated.
- Cite sources properly and avoid citation manipulation.
- Disclose funding, conflicts of interest, and any use of generative AI.
- Notify the editor promptly of significant errors found after publication.
Duties of editors
- Judge manuscripts on merit alone, regardless of authors' origin, gender, religion, or affiliation.
- Keep manuscripts confidential and declare their own conflicts of interest.
- Investigate suspected misconduct following COPE flowcharts.
Duties of reviewers
- Review objectively and on time, and keep manuscripts confidential.
- Decline when there is a conflict of interest; do not use generative AI to review.
Ethical oversight
Research involving human participants, animals, or personal data needs approval from an ethics committee, stated with the approval number in the Method and Declarations. Manuscripts without it are returned at screening.
